Frequent Questions:
HOW MUCH DO YOU COST?

I charge $400 for 3 hours, $75 for each additional hour of playing time for Saturday events. I offer a $50 reduction for other nights of the week, as well as close proximity of the Reynoldsburg/Pickerington area.
IS THERE A DEPOSIT?
A $100.00 deposit is required once you sign your contract. You may choose to pay the balance on your wedding day by cash or 7 days in advance by check.
CAN I PAY A LOWER FEE IF I REQUEST LESS TIME?
No. Once I’m booked for your event, I cannot be at another that day. Be assured, my fee offers more time and flexibility than many DJ services.
WHEN DO YOU SET UP?
I make sure your 3+ hours are strictly for playing time. If your reception is, for example, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., I will set up at least an hour prior to our start time.
WHAT FLEXIBILITY DOES YOUR PACKAGE INCLUDE?
I include a cordless microphone and stand at no extra charge if requested.
WHAT IF WE WOULD LIKE MORE THAN 3 HOURS?
After 3 hours, our fee is $75.00 per hour.
WHAT IF MY WEDDING IS OUTSIDE OF CENTRAL OHIO? I have standard $50 traveling charge and, if applicable, we ask for an overnight room for one DJ in proximity to the reception location.
DO YOU OFFER LIGHTS, UP LIGHTING, PHOTO BOOTH FOG OR BUBBLES?
I have 4 light show options available, as well as for or bubbles for the first dance. These can be provided for an additional fee. For safety reasons, we consult the venue before using any of the effects.
WHAT IS YOUR CANCELLATION POLICY?
If you provide 5 or more months notice, I will refund your full deposit, no questions asked. With less than 5 months notice, I will refund half the deposit or transfer the entire deposit to an event booked by a person or company referred to us by you.
WHICH DJ DO WE GET?
I am sole proprietor and DJ for your event.

CAN YOU PROVIDE PROPS, GAMES AND A DJ WHO ALSO ACTS AS THE MASTER OF CEREMONIES?
Please call us to discuss how much DJ participation you want. Our standard practice is to introduce the bridal party, lead games to get the bride and groom to kiss and/or to give away centerpieces. We are also happy to sit back and let your own master of ceremonies take care of the public speaking.

My main job is to play the music. I can perform jokes or skits, lead conga lines or teach the latest dance moves. I show enthusiasm, take and play requests, and do my best to stimulate a fun-filled evening of music and dancing. I will not overstep the line of professionalism with inappropriate comments or conduct at the risk of embarrassing you, guests or Maximum Music.
WHAT GUARANTEES DOES MAXIMUM MUSIC OFFER?
I want your referrals and the venues’ referrals; this is what makes my company thrive. Therefore, I ensure:
1) I will not make promises we cannot keep.
2) I want your reception to be a success just as much as you do.
3) There is always a back-up person with equipment available in case of emergency.
5) Everyday, you will have access to me by phone and e-mail should you feel the need to contact me.
HOW DO I BOOK?
You will deal with Roy “Gus” Gustavson through the booking process. If you want to meet, I am available and have a variety of time slots to accommodate all schedules. When you decide to hire my service, I will send you a confirmation in the mail.
